RESEARCH IN-PROGRESS

SAMPLING

Field trip was carried out on 25 – 27 February 2017. Three types of samples were collected

which are from soils, rocks, and sea water. Soils represent different subsamples and locations

of Jemuruk Island. Different layers of rocks were collected as part of metagenomics study. Sea

water was filtered on the boat. However, we modify our equipment for more robust filtration

process.
